Drink responsibly. Alcohol is not required or encouraged. A sober night can be just as fun. Every challenge can be done without drinking. Pace yourself with water and food.

🚶

Use pavements and crossings, watch for traffic, and stay with your group. Ask an IRL host or venue staff for help.

⭐

Be creative, respect other people, and ask before filming anyone. Plan a safe way home.

Capture it. Send it. Make it count.

Go all in on the challenges — and have fun! We're giving away lots of prizes for the most successful or creative completions, including free tickets to upcoming events such as our black-tie Winter Formal.

Take photos and videos of yourself and your group on your own phone. Send the files to your respective group inside the WhatsApp community, with your team name, challenge and venue. Make sure your efforts can be judged: capture the evidence!

Open the event WhatsApp community and join your group. Ask a host if you cannot find it.

Venue Wi-Fi is unreliable and mobile data is spotty in Oxford. Open this passport while online for offline access, and capture photos and videos on your phone. Can't send them that night? Make sure you send them the following day — Sunday 1 November. WhatsApp needs mobile data or another internet connection to send; this passport does not upload or queue files. External links also need a connection.

Instagram sharing is optional; WhatsApp is where you submit challenges. Following @irl_uni is still required for prize eligibility.

Bubbly Lounge is the 11:00 PM club finish, not the prize announcement.

Free-shot eligibility

Only for people who followed @irl_uni and commented “going” on the relevant Instagram post by 12 noon on Saturday 31 October 2026 (UK time). Following alone does not qualify. Alcohol is optional.
